3D Passion’s high resolution
Most of those 3D Passion’s artworks and wallpapers have been created between 2001 and 2003, around the first-ever launch of 3D-Passion.com. The site was a mix between a 3D community and a paid membership section for which users were invited to subscribe, allowing them to access the wallpapers that were created by me. At this date we had low computing power and the public 3D software was in their infancy, but I initially choose to create a maximum of them in very high resolution with lots of details, up to 4000x3000. In the past, this high resolution renders had me able to propose very detailed wallpapers up to 1600x1200 (which was the « monster » resolution of PC displays), and currently being able to offer you those wallpapers with up to 4K resolution, which is the current ultra HD standard at the time of writing this (2020). This fact explains (in part) why 3D-Passion.com is still searched on the net, even if I stopped the production of wallpapers in 2003.
These wallpapers have been licensed to professionals and made me serious money over the years (royalties), more than the public memberships themselves. They even entered the realm of early smartphones by being distributed in general mobile networks as paid backgrounds in Poland and India, and I was offered the same type of contract in Russia, but the contract had never been signed due to a bankruptcy of the company.
