• Wallpapers & Screen Savers Help (Members and Public visitors)


------- WALLPAPERS -------

1. How do I download & use the wallpapers in the free section? (Public)

You will need to know your resolution (see the below third question) and choose it. Just under the images, you will see four resolutions : 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 and 1600x1200. Please click on the desired resolution, and wait for the loading of the wallpaper. Once it is completely displayed, click on it with the right button of the mouse. Here you have two options :

- You set it up directly as your default wallpaper. In this case you will need to choose "Set as wallpaper".
- You save it on a location of your computer. In this case you will need to choose "Save image as". Then, to set up this image as your default wallpaper, you will need to make a right click on your desktop, select "Properties", then choose "Browse" and find the file (which has a JPG extension) in the location where you have saved it.


2. How do I download & use the wallpapers in the members section? (Members)

- Log in the private area (having troubles logging in?).

- Click the wallpapers tab, then choose a scenery pack. You will need to right click on a resolution (800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 or 1600x1200) under each scenery and then select "Save as" (please note the location where you save the file). To know the resolution you are actually using, please read the below question.

- Find the saved file on your computer and double-click on it. You will need to unzip the file (wallpapers are zipped / compressed to save you time when downloading) using the program WinZip. WinZip is completely FREE and can be downloaded at http://www.winzip.com (the evaluation version is not limited).

- Extract the files to a location on your computer.

- Then, to use one of the wallpapers, you will need to access your computer desktop properties (Right click on your desktop -> Properties) and then choose "Browse" to find the location where you have unzipped the files. Then just select a wallpaper and click on OK. Be sure that you have chosen the good resolution for your wallpaper pack!

3. How do I know my resolution? (Members / Public)


Please click on your computer desktop using the right mouse button, then choose "Properties". Then choose the tab "Parameters" and at the right bottom of the dialog box you will find your actual resolution in the following form : width by height (width x height).


4. My wallpaper looks streched, fussy & pixellised on my computer desktop! (Members / Public)


It is likely that you have selected the wrong resolution. All is explained in the above questions. Also, if you have downloaded a free wallpaper, please make sure that you haven't clicked on the thumbnail image on the free preview page and saved it. This is not the complete wallpaper, just a small size preview of it. You will need to click a resolution at the bottom of each image.


5. AOL users - The free wallpapers look streched, fuzzy & pixellised in my browser! (Public)


If the images on this site look bad, fuzzy, blurry, it's because the AOL browsers use (in the default configuration) compression with the images, and after 'blur' them. In order to see the real quality of the wallpapers, simply perform this :

Once on your AOL browser,
Go to : My AOL > Preferences > WWW > Web graphics,
and uncheck the option "Use compressed graphics".

If this setting isn't checked, then you don't need to worry about it.


------- SCREENSAVERS -------

1. How do I download & install the screensavers? (Members / Public)

a) 2D screensavers

- Members: First you will need to know your resolution (see the below second question) and choose it. Just next to the screensavers, you will see four resolutions : 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x960/1024, 1600x1200. These are the most common resolutions on the PC market. If you run an other resolution, just choose the nearest to yours (preferably the one that is higher than yours). The screensaver software will adapt the images to your resolution with the maximum details, using a powerful resizing method. Please click on the desired resolution, and wait for the downloading of the screensaver.

- After the download, find the saved file on your computer and double-click on it. You will need to unzip the file (screensavers are zipped / compressed to save you time when downloading) using the program WinZip. WinZip is completely FREE and can be downloaded at http://www.winzip.com (the evaluation version is not limited).

- Extract the files to a location on your computer.

- Double-click on the executable previously extracted from the zip file.

- Choose "Install" and then follow the instructions. You can also click on "Preview" to have a preview of the screensaver.

b) 3D screensavers

- Download the zip file containing the screensaver installation and unzip this file using WinZip (WinZip is completely FREE and can be downloaded at http://www.winzip.com - the evaluation version is not limited) to a location on your computer.

- Double-click on the executable file previously unzipped and the installation program will launch. Follow the instructions. Once the installation is finished, a program group will be created in the start menu as well as an icon on the desktop, and you will be taken to the Windows screensaver dialog box. You can configure and preview the 3D screensaver here. In the program group, you can also uninstall the program, view help and launch the screensaver.


2. How do I know my resolution? (Members)


Please click on your computer desktop using the right mouse button, then choose "Properties". Then choose the tab "Parameters" and at the right bottom of the dialog box you will find your actual resolution in the following form : width by height (width x height).


3. When I click on "Preview" the screen seems to 'flash' and nothing appears! (2D screensavers ONLY - Members / Public)

When you click on "Preview", be sure not to move the mouse until the screensaver appears on the screen. Due to the high-quality of the images used in the screensavers, launching the screensaver can take up to 8-10 seconds, and if you move your mouse during this time the screensaver will be unloaded, as work all the other screensavers. You can set up custom exit keys in the screensaver parameters when it is installed.


4. How do I uninstall the screensavers? (Members / Public)

Concerning the 2D screensavers, you will need to launch again the installation program. This time, the "Uninstall" button will be active. Just click on it and your screensaver will be uninstalled from your system.

For the 3D screensavers, you can uninstall them either using the program group that has been created during the installation in the start menu (choose "Uninstall"), or go to Windows Configuration Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. Select the screensaver you want to uninstall in the list and then click "Remove".




• High-Resolution Image Store Help

1. What are the specifications of the images available in the High-Resolution Image Store?

The file format is JPG, with no compression. The resolution of each image varies from 2560x1920 to 4000x3000, and the average file size is about 5MB.


2. Does the high-resolution purchased 3D photos still have the titles and web address in the corner?

No, all our high-resolution files are delivered without any title or URL, although per the customer agreement (§2.B), you are required to give credits back in an easy to see placement on your final product (not necessary on the image itself), if you choose the standard use. The royalty-free use remove this obligation.


3. How do I use the store?


It is very simple. It works in the same way than any store featuring a shopping cart. Just browse each gallery, and select the images you need by clicking the "Add To Cart" button, displayed under each image. It will display you a new page with the items available in your cart, plus the new one you just have selected. You don't need to close this page during your shopping session. Then, you can continue shopping by clicking the "Continue Shopping" button. When you have finished, click on "View Cart", review the items you have selected, and then click on "Checkout". You will be forwarded the PayPal secure payment system for purchasing the images.


4. The shopping cart is always empty!


You must have cookies enabled to use the shopping cart. You can have a guide for activating cookies here :

• Payment Options Help

1. Do your subscription include a recurring billing cycle ?

No, you will be billed only one time. This is a one-time fee of $24.95 for accessing all our high-quality content. Your private access will be valid during 6 months, allowing you enough time to download all the content.


2. There is an alert when I click on the payment option for signing up!


This is completely normal. Your browser tells you that you will browse a secured page and alerts you about that. This is because we use secure systems for the payment pages, protecting you at the highest possible level. If you don't have received this message, it's likely that you have deactivated the option in your browser. Just look at the payment page : it must show "https://" rather than "http://". "s" signify "secure".


3. What is this TicketsClub website that appear when signing-up?


TicketsClub has been created by Verotel, our secure payment processor, to deliver "tickets" to a network of entertainment websites, including our site. You can sign-up safely, it is all secure.


4. The payment page does not show! It does not work for me...


It can be a temporarily problem of the payment servers. It can eventually occur from time to time. Just go back one hour later and try one more time. If you have made several attempts and it continues to block, please contact us.


5. My country is not in the country list on the payment page (Verotel). How do I subscribe?


You have a second option and you can try to pay using your credit card via PayPal. Please go back to the Join Now! page and select PayPal. If your country is not listed at PayPal as well, please contact us.


6. I don't have a credit card / my credit cards are rejected on the payment pages!


If you have only tried one payment system you can try to pay using the other payment system we offer you. If you are using Verotel (one of our payment systems), you can access multiple payment options depending on your country. The other payment options (not available for all) are Direct Debit, Online Checks & Pay By Phone. You can try to subscribe using this secure options. If all attempts fail (or if you don't have a credit card), you cannot pay online. Please in this case contact us.


7. I am afraid using my credit card online. Is your payment system really secure?


There is no problem. Our two payment processors (Verotel and PayPal) use the highest level of security. At no moment we and the VEROTEL company or PAYPAL have in our possession the information about your credit card. They use the SSL technology. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) (developed by Netscape Communications Company) is a standard that encrypts data between a Web browser and a Web server. In an SSL session, all data sent is encrypted. It has nothing to do with a credit card transaction, other that it provides a measure of security between the cardholder and the merchant. A SSL session (secure link) can only be initiated if the server of the merchant has a certificate in place. Nowadays, the SSL is used by the majority of internet merchants. The SSL is very powerful, and it can use up to 1024 bits for the encrypting process.


8. Do you accept wire transfers?


We accept wire transfers for the commercial membership only. If you want to order a commercial membership and pay with a wire transfer, please contact us.




• Members Help

1. I just registered... How do I log in the private area?

If you have used Verotel for paying you should have been redirected directly to your account. You also have received an email with your access codes. Please save it and write down your access codes for remembering them. After, when returning to the site, you will need to click on "Members" in the navigation bar to log in. You will have to enter first your email address you have used when purchasing your membership (this second protection has been added for preventing our password-protected area to be attacked by hackers), then you will have to follow the instructions displayed.


2. When entering my email address, your site says I am not in your records!


Please be aware that direct access from 3D Passion could take up to 24 hours to be implemented - instant access for Verotel customers is available at www.TicketsClub.com (enter your username/password on this page). For PayPal users, please read the next question.


3. I have used PayPal to pay and I don't have received any codes!


Access to 3D-Passion.com is created within 24 hours when purchasing using PayPal. Please be patient, your codes will surely be sent within this delay. If you haven't received your codes within a delay of 48 hours, please contact us.


4. My access codes do not work!


Please be sure that you use the two different codes. The first code given is the "usercode" and must be entered in the first field (Username or Login) of the dialog box launched when you try to access the private area. The second one, called "passcode", is different and must be entered in the second field (Password). If it does not work, it's possible (but very rare) that our servers have got a problem when setting up your access after the payment. If you are experiencing problems, please contact us and supply your codes.


5. My access is denied but I was accessing the site before!


Your membership is valid during 6 months, allowing you enough time to download all the content. Due to the one-time nature of the contract, we can give you again a new access for 6 months to the membership, even if we have added new content. That's your gift. You will need to supply your ancient codes for setting up again your account. Please note that this can be done only one time.


6. The ZIP files I download in the Private Area are corrupted!


In very rare occasions, when downloading the content you can end up with a non-complete download. This can be a problem of your Internet connection, or a problem from our server. Please be sure first that you have downloaded the entire files, by referring to these sizes:

1. Is your private area free of publicity?

Yes, our private area is completely ads-free. You will be able to browse our content without being distracted by pop-ups, pop-unders, banners, interstitials, etc...


2. Can I use / publish your content on my website or anywhere else?


No, it's strictly forbidden. Maybe, we can do some rare exceptions (for non-commercial projects) so contact us before anything. Please be sure to read our copyrights page / customer agreement to learn what you can / can't do with our content. If you want to use our content in a commercial project please visit both our commercial license page and our high-resolution image store. These conditions apply for both public and members visitors.
